Vicars Cross Dynamos has been in existence since the late 1980s and will celebrate 20 years of Junior Football in 2008.

During this time the Club has undergone many changes and has grown from only having three teams at Under12s, 14s and 16s to its current size of having 21 Teams at 11 different age groups playing in four different Leagues.

Particularly pleasing is the growth of Girls’ junior soccer and the Club is very proud of the fact that we now have 3 teams at Under 12s and Under 14s with plans for further teams.

Finally the Club also has a Senior Side playing in the Cheshire & District League so that there is progression for the boys after they finish playing in the Junior Leagues at 16.

In 2002 Vicars Cross Dynamos was one of the first Clubs in Cheshire to attain the Charter Standard Development Club Award presented by the Football Association.

The F.A. Charter Standard is awarded to Clubs who can demonstrate that they are committed to raising standards within the provision of football. In order to gain and subsequently hold the Charter Standard, Vicars Cross Dynamos must ensure that all coaches are trained to the prescribed level.

Currently the head coach, Jo Reynolds, holds a UEFA B Coaching License (FA Level 3) & Youth Coaches Award and we have 15 coaches holding the Junior Team Manager – which is an FA approved course which includes modules on First aid, Child Protection and Ethics.

Achieving and maintaining the FA Charter Standard demonstrates to parents and the public that Vicars Cross Dynamos are committed to improving the quality of service we provide and ensuring that their children are looked after in an organised and safe environment.
